Privacy Policy for InjectJS

Effective Date: April 19, 2026

InjectJS is a Chrome extension and web dashboard that lets users inject custom JavaScript into websites they visit. This policy explains what data we do and do not collect, and how we handle any information related to your use of InjectJS.

1. What We Collect

InjectJS (the browser extension)

InjectJS Dashboard (injectjs.net)

Our dashboard may collect standard analytics data, including:

The following analytics tools are used:

These services may use cookies or similar technologies to gather anonymized usage data.

2. Advertising and Cookies

The InjectJS website (injectjs.net) displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info (for users in the US) or Your Online Choices (for users in the EU).

For more information on how Google uses data from sites that use its advertising services, see How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.

3. Third-Party Services

The following third-party services are used by the InjectJS dashboard only:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information beyond what these services collect by default during their normal operation.

4. Cookie Consent

When you first visit injectjs.net, a consent banner is displayed. Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google AdSense) are only loaded after you click “Accept.” If you click “Reject,” those scripts are not loaded and no tracking cookies are set.

Your preference is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key injectjs-consent. To change your preference, clear this value in your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → injectjs.net → delete the injectjs-consent entry) and reload the page — the consent banner will reappear.

Vercel Analytics is cookie-free and is not affected by your consent choice.

5. Children's Privacy

InjectJS is a developer tool intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at dcohen613@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

6. User Accounts

Certain features (upvoting and script sharing) require sign-in via Google OAuth. When you sign in, we receive your Google account email and display name, which are stored by our authentication provider (Supabase). We do not store your Google password.

7. Data Retention

The extension stores everything locally in your browser — we retain nothing from the extension. The dashboard retains only anonymous analytics data from the services listed above, and account data for authenticated users (email/display name stored by Supabase).

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To make such a request, email dcohen613@gmail.com. For advertising opt-outs, see Section 2 above.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to ensure the dashboard and extension are secure, but as with all software, 100% security cannot be guaranteed. We do not handle or store sensitive information such as passwords or payment data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
